THE ART OF WAR TEMPORARY EXHIBITION OPENS
AT THE NATIONAL CIVIL WAR MUSEUM

October
16, 2007 (Harrisburg, PA) –
The National Civil War Museum
is pleased to announce the
opening of the temporary exhibition,
The Art of War.
The Art of War
covers the art of common soldiers with their original drawings and
carvings done in camp, in prison and back home as veterans.
In addition to soldier art, this exhibit shows the work of
artists of the time and how they were inspired by the war. The
soldier art will be displayed at the Museum through January 13, 2008.
The
National Civil War Museum is an educational 501(c)(3) institution
dedicated to preserving Civil War history. Located in Reservoir
Park in Harrisburg, PA, the Museum's seasonal hours of operation are:
Wednesday
through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5:00
p.m. Between April 1 and Labor Day, the Museum is open seven days a week. Admission
to the Museum is $8.00 for adults, $7.00 for seniors, and $6.00 for
