THE
NATIONAL CIVIL WAR MUSEUM PROUDLY SALUTES
The
Men and Women of The United States' Armed Forces
The
National Civil War museum is offering FREE ADMISSION on
Saturday, November 11th to veterans, active-duty military service
members and military retirees.
Veterans
will also have the opportunity to purchase commemorative bricks at $25
off the regular price. Commemorative bricks are a great way to
memorialize a loved one or pay tribute to family members and friends!
Schedule
of events:
11:00am
- Brett Kelley, the Museum's Curator, will be giving an educational
lecture.
2:00pm
- Margaret Wagner, author of The American Civil War-365 Days will be
at the Museum for a book signing from 10:00am-1:00pm,
followed by a 2:00pm presentation.
All
Day - The Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veteran Affairs
will be available throughout the day to answer questions and provide
information to veterans on available services.
All
Day - There will be a special exhibit on Confederate &
Union veterans in the temporary gallery. The exhibit will open on November
4th and will continue through Veteran's Day weekend.
The
National Civil War Museum's seasonal hours of operation are:
Wednesday through Saturday from 10:00am - 5:00pm and Sunday from 12:00pm -
5:00pm. Admission to the Museum is $8 adults, with reduced rates for
students, seniors, military personnel and families. For more
